Join Units and events

Find a Unit, request to join, and register for events.

A Unit is a group for your college, hospital, association or community: announcements, chat, discussions, events, resources and members in one place.

Join a Unit

    Go to Units, then Browse Units. Search, or use the tabs All, Community, Institutional and My Units.

    Open a Unit and press Request to Join. Add a short note if you like (up to 300 characters).
  3. 3
    The Unit's admins approve your request. You get a notification.

You can be in, or waiting to join, up to 4 Units at a time.

Inside a Unit you can post in discussions and chat, and share an article, link or PDF in Resources (admins approve resources). Unit admins can place you in a category such as a student batch, faculty or alumni. To leave, press Leave Unit.

Create a Unit

Verified members can create a Unit with Create Unit. Our team approves new Units before they go live.

Events

  • Unit events are online or in person. Press Register to attend, and press again to cancel.
  • Free events: register straight away.
  • Events that need approval: your request waits for the organiser.
  • Paid events: buy a ticket to register.

Event times show in your own time zone. Verified members can create events; paid events go live after a quick review.
